Out in the community

Yarmouth Life Skills doesn't only operate within the building, we also make sure to get out and around in our community. Whether out for walks, cleaning up garbage on Earth Day, enjoying the beach in the summer, or visiting local shops, the community is very familiar with Life Skills participants.

Our Employability crew is most active. They have their own Snack Attack locations, do shopping for our snack cart, and tour businesses to discover what employment in this community looks like. This week they discover the retail store Giant Tiger, touring and learning the ins and outs of the business and roles within it as they prepare for employment. Life Skills believes community access is a fundamental part of participant and community development.
