The Boccia Ball Tournament

Life Skills is not the only program for special needs in Yarmouth. We often collaborate with other programs to give our Participants the best experiences possible. Just recently, we had a new event. A Boccia ball tournament. We, and two other well-known programs in the area got together to do a massive morning-long boccia ball tournament that included prizes, lunch, and a lot of hanging out with new and old friends.

Socializing like this makes way for the Participants to have better community ties, and it allows them to get out into the public and be seen for more than just their disability. This also gives the Participants a fun way to make new friends.

A lot of fun was had by all. We would like to thank all the organizations involved, including Kay Nickerson, YACRO, and Easter Seals. It was a lot of fun, and we can’t wait until the next time we can all get together
